Lincoln Jones, on his way to Fort Worth with $600 of his neighbors' money to be spent in hiring a schoolteacher, is the victim in a train hold-up and stranded along with a card sharper and a singer. Later taken in by the bandits, these prove to be the kinfolk he had once escaped, and one by one he is able to destroy them all in order to retrieve his money and redeem his name. A new format for an old formula of wrongs well righted.
