THE COWBOYS

The cowboys are really boys -- not even out of school -- whom old Wil Andersen signs up to help him take his cows to market after he loses his former hands to ""gold colic."" Andersen's a little too old for all this (he looks like John Wayne -- in fact you'll see John Wayne in the scheduled film) and even if the youngsters are small in the saddle, they give him a hard time. So do some rustlers who pump fifteen bullets into him after that long, long trail keeps winding into one disaster after another. Lots of dust, a little reminiscent grit, and some of that grizzled sentiment for those who want to cinch up.
