YOUNG EMERSON SPEAKS

Strange that this has not been done before -- this bringing together of the talks and sermons of the youthful Emerson, and studying them to trace the Emerson better known after he had left an active ministry. In an able introduction, the editor points out ways in which Emerson hold, in the formative years, diametrically opposite views from those we associate with him. Here and there, in asides, in courageous statements and assumptions, he shows the beginnings of change. Interesting material from personal angle as it rounds out the picture of the man. Definite market.
