PROFESSOR BULL'S UMBRELLA

This far flung joke on an absent-minded professor has far less to its telling than the accompanying colored pencil spreads by George Schreiber. On his way to the grocery, music loving Prof. Bull conducts an imaginary orchestra with his umbrella as baton and of course, lays it down, forgetting it when the piece is over. The rest of the story is the umbrella's wind-whipped trip through a chasing city - until it ends up miraculously in the prof's hand again. No encores for the text but a curtain call for the pictures.
