Uncle Will, , has got all his marbles even if he's mislaid his memory along with some $3500 in cash and a diamond. He lives in an old shack on the Georgia Coast and a lady from the county assistance wants to assist him into the Golden Age home -- a notion Will ruggedly resists. Kinfolk from up north, Sally and Amy and Jack (assorted ages) and their mother come down to help him find his valuables. This entails a literal paper chase riddled with referrals via an old rhyme. . . . A more believable if no more solvable story than the earlier Secrets of Hidden Creek, well locale-ized from shrimp boats to scrub pine. Congenially cryptoprogrammed for girls of this age.
