E. ASTEROIDS

A succinct and readable introduction to the tiny planets, in the manner of Nourse's 1974 treatment of the giants. Nourse does a better job than Knight (KR, 1973) of integrating material on the asteroids' discovery, composition, orbits and origins, making it all interesting, and relating it to theories of the origin of the solar system and other matters of more general astronomical interest.
