KIRKUS REVIEW

The sub-title defines the book, -- ""A Confession of Faith"". How many of us, as we listened to Charles Lindbergh (and disagreed or agreed with his point of view), wondered where she stood. Here is the answer, simply and earnestly expressed, intellectual rather than emotional in content, and voicing an opinion many hold, that we need to find a way to reach the goal, within our own boundaries, and not in trying to save a doomed world. Some will feel that it is a defeatist point of view, others that it is as fine a presentation of the spiritual concept of isolationism as has been made. None will question the dignity and beauty of her text.
