by Arthur Ransome ‧ RELEASE DATE: July 29, 1937
I'm frank in acknowledging that a new Arthur Ransome is good news ever. From Swallows and Amazons on, I accepted his young people as personal cronies and follow their adventures with keen enjoyment. Carrier pigeons play an important part in this new treasure hunting tale, and a forest fire adds special excitement. But it is for the youngsters themselves that I love the books.
