THE SPIRIT OF HAWAII

A portfolio of drawings, water colors (only one reproduced in color), lithographs of Hawaii, old and new, from 1921, through the tourist era, Pearl Harbor, and the Hawaii of war. People --peaceful pastimes and occupations -- street scenes and country scenes -- views, near and far. In captions and scenes there's occasional sense of repedition which mars the cumulative effect of the whole as a unified panorama. The interest will be largely factual, as I should think the appeal of his technique would be somewhat limited.
