BEYOND TIME AND SPACE

An excellent collection of science fiction shorts which have such a growing following with young people. Arranged chronologically, the stories include selections ranging from Plato's account of Atlantis, through Lucian, Rebelais, Bacon, to Jules Verne and H.G. Wells. Lots of variety with a nice contrast between serious and fantastic. This would make a good transition from the pulp science fiction.
