by Bruce Koscielniak ‧ RELEASE DATE: Sept. 10, 1990
Accompanied by their six children, the eponymous Hector and Prudence (4/90, not reviewed), who set up housekeeping earlier this year, celebrate Christmas Eve with a ride on a toy train that magically grows larger once it's unwrapped. The slight story is made considerably more interesting by Koscielniak's deftly idiosyncratic pen-and-watercolor illustrations where--unbeknownst to the pigs--Santa and his reindeer cavort in the background.
