First he served with the RAF Ferry Command, next with Pan Am over the South Atlantic and was with them when the Army took over. In each service, there was something new to be learned; there are good moments of flight, of narrow escapes, of ingenuity and quick thinking. Another facet of total war -- told in personal terms.
