THE BEST HUMOR ANNUAL

Those good humor men in action for the third time and ringing the bell just as successfully as before. This follows the previous volumes in selecting from published books, magazines, newspapers, columnists, from fiction and non-fiction and in introducing every inclusion with a bright, biographical paragraph about the author. There are over every pieces and they range from the silly inanities, to the deadpan farce, the higher and lower lunacies of parody, miss adventures and social satire and the demolition of motheaten mores. From the familiar faces of Will Cuppy, Frank Sullivan, Perelman, Bemelmans, Wode-house and Thurber to the new look of Al Capp, Julia Trutt Yenni, Victoria Lincoln, John Collier, Russell Lynes, Stephen Potter, Bob and Ray (of radio and TV) -- and others and others and others -- the roster offers plenty of enjoyable entertainment, either hearty and brisk or evocative and evanescent. A good buy for good selling.
