DON'T, MR. DISRAELI!

Roguish bantering period piece, which will amuse some and bore others. Somewhat self-consciously playful mosaic of London for a Victorian Romeo and Juliet romance, as a love story is almost foiled by the family feud. All sorts of people, an ill- assorted crew, including Disraeli, Queen Victoria, Melbourne, the Marx Brothers, Lady Blessington, ballet dancers, chefs, artists, musicians and statesmen, rub elbows in a haphazard narrative.
