THE RINGER

Once again it's Mendoza of Homicide and the LAPD when one of their own, Landers, is (falsely?) identified as running a hot car ring with a nice new policewoman running protective interference-clearance. Then there are the usual ""random kill""s -- a girl, a good woman, a putative puta -- with the incidence of crime seemingly going up in this series lo match the national statistic. Pro forma procedures but steadily interesting.
