LET'S TAKE STOCK

For the uninitiated investor (there are 12,490,000 people who own common stocks- 50% of them in the under $7,500 income bracket) this provides a basic briefing. Who should (economically - emotionally) invest; investment as a long range hedge against the rising cost of living; the costs of buying and selling; the types of stocks and bonds; what you want in a stock (income; growth?) and some calculated risks; market cycles and when to buy and sell; investment clubs and monthly plans- this parallels other primers in this area of private enterprise, and is probably the breeziest approach yet. Not for urton Crane's Sophisticated Investor but that mass market indicated above.
