by Don & Joan Caufield ‧ RELEASE DATE: May 7, 1971
The title says it all: three popular subjects, joined in the hope that their combined force will be greater than the sum of the two authors' resources. But even the powers of Pandora, a witch cat with a $10,000 diamond necklace, can't turn these ingredients into an entertainment. Of course Pandora is kidnapped for the value of her jewels, but with a little help from her friends, a dog and a kitten, she manages not only to escape but also to apprehend her kidnappers, a pair of notorious safe-crackers and jewel thieves. Then Pandora gives up the magic necklace to become a prosaic, everyday cat and that's the end of a prosaic, everyday story.
