Willa's a will of a wisp who seems to have disappeared in the pewter grey air of Stockholm and her closest friend and first cousin Grace comes to look for her knowing from the special signature on a letter that she's in trouble. More than pregnant which she also proves to be. Strange things turn up while she doesn't--a pair of glasses by a lake; a tatty furpiece; another letter which says nothing but intimates more. And what of the people in her life--the Gustav she was supposed to marry; the man she worked for; a doctor she consulted; a Baroness? All of this adds up to a highly attractive proposition for all the ladies who will surely be Waiting for Willa; they won't be minding the time they're spending one bit and they'll be available in all sizes.
