Another in the Laureata School stories, this episode deals with the adjustment problems of Matilda, a new girl to the loyalties and rigors of the strict institution. Child of a broken family, Matilda finds it hard to respond to the well-meaning overtures of her roommates, Joan and Angela. She does ultimately become part of the sterling little group, but not until a crime has been committed and solved. There is nothing of any particular literary or intellectual merit here, but the lure of boarding school romance will probably assure it a certain reliable distribution.
