The parents who swallow this bait, hook and sinker, will certainly find themselves at odds with most baby doctors and baby nurses today. And one questions whether the author's contention that the method advocated will not spoil the baby can be true. For after all, singing or talking or rocking a baby to sleep, refusing to let a baby ory, etc. etc., soon shows the way of least resistance to Master Baby. However, it is a challenge to the modern parent to guard the baby's personality from the start. And he makes his arguments sound plausible.
