IN'S DRITTE GLIED: Unto the Third Generation

A family saga of three generations, laid in Switzerland, tracing the lives of a gentleman farmer, Melk Obermatt, and his children. Tied to the soil and to the traditions of the country peasant, Obermatt trusted that his only son would carry on his life work, only to find him a wastrel. He is also let down by his grandchildren -- but finally rewarded by Bruna, the natural daughter of his son and a servant girl who alone upholds the beliefs and standards of the grandfather. Written with great color and vigor, in dedication to the present generation.
