HORTENSIUS: FRIEND OF NERO

A slim tale of a former favorite of Nero and fair damsels in distress. Principally the plot concerns itself with the attempt to save the Christian wife of his best friend from death in the arena, in which he is tricked by Nero and forced to flee from Home, later to be joined by his Persian slave whom he loves. Semipoetic and almost archaic in style giving the impression of a modernized legend. In spite of confidence of the publishers, can see little marketable value.
