Very definitely this is a read aloud book for the 6 to 9's. Another Martin Pippin book means an established market. These stories and legends are somewhat younger in appeal than the first volume, but the style is somewhat mature for the age interest level. There is a quiet humor and a charm of rhythmic prose and verse that demands an adult sharing and interpretation.
