A sermonizing Sun God orders the creation of some human sons and daughters -- ""Make em like me/ let em reflect my rays"" -- and then delivers the word to his new made soul brothers -- ""y'all Sun people/red, yellow, brown and black,/and that's a fact ...Some of y'all goin to look near white...but don't git uptight, it'll only be a few...But y'all is the Sun's rays/and will reflect my ways/for if you do that/y'all truly be black,/now ain't that a fact?"" The sun and starry heavens are illuminated with bright African designs, and post-creation tableaux show variously costumed red, yellow and black people frolicking in a gold-tinted Eden. Whites, who are pointedly left out here, won't find too much to celebrate, and reds, yellows and blacks can be expected to get at most a momentary high -- or a hearty laugh -- out of the whole jazzed up production.
