This shamelessly meretricious item is about Malacca, an isle of no sexual respite, to which Toni, widowed at 32 (her husband had been groomed for the Presidency), ""America's royal lady,"" comes to be wooed by Archimedes Pendelos, ""pirate-philanderer"" worth millions and also the friend of her sister. He's really called Arki (Oni soit qui mal y pense and how could you think otherwise) and among the entourage there are filmmakers (one for her sister), wealthy gamblers, and Angelica, the world's greatest woman in bed. Arki gives Toni the Blackstar diamond--""God, the size of it. It's incredible"" along with everything else which is equally well endowed. . . . This is all as dualistic as the principle itself--the best-worst of both possible worlds, Jackie's and Jackie's.
