THE INDIGO NECKLACE

Good suspense and atmosphere for a multi-plotted yarn revolving around a succession of violent deaths in the household of the Clarys, old New Orleans family living in the French Quarter. Again Lt. Patrick Abbott (see Amethyst Spectacles) -- now so duty in New Orleans, plays his hunches, outguesses the local authorities, shifts suspicion rapidly until he gets the right one, and manages to keep Jean from fatal accident as he involves herself in things that aren't her business. Good entertainment.
