THE SEA APE

A better than routine mystery involving wreck salvaging off the coast of Sumatra, underwater murder, and the emergence of an amphibious countertype of the abominable snowman. For boys who like their stories, told in a masculine style, well stocked with virile types, and full of action, this narrative of free lance salvager, Dirk Rogers, in his pursuit of a crazed diamond thief, fills the bill. But the real bonus in the tale of the Sea Ape is the rich material it offers on depth diving, submarine photography, and salvaging, all of which is well integrated into the plot.
