KIRKUS REVIEW

This idea excited me, I picked up the book with enthusiasm, a hundred gates to the Kingdom of God, an original and inspiring thought. Rockne, Undset, Cla Chesterton, an impressive group representing twenty-two nationalities who've knocked and been received. To the Roman Catholic this book will not be disappointing, quite the reverse! But the Protestant or Anglo-Catholic fascinated by the idea and seeking help will find it sheer propaganda for the Roman Catholic Chruch. True these are converts and as such always more narrow and biased. For example, Sheila Kaye-Smith states she ""wasted twelve years in the Church of England"". God is at work only at Rome! And so we say again-for your Roman Catholic trade a three star number, but even to some of them it will seem overenthusiastic in its emphasis on the Catholic Church instead of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
