THE SCREAMING MIMI

Again an unusual type of crime and criminal for a case which is handled by Sweeney, a reporter, on a periodic drunk, who sobers up after seeing a night club entertainer mangled by a ripper. He tangles with her agent and the police, follows a trail back to recent ripper killings of other beautiful girls, to a black statuette and its eccentric sculptor. The pace here is fast, the pitch high.
