SPIRITUAL AND ANABAPTIST WRITERS-Vol. XXV

The library of Christian Classics is a far reaching undertaking to present in the English language, in 26 volumes of convenient size, a selection of the indispensable Christian treatises written prior to the end of the 16th century. This is an exceedingly worthwhile project for our modern times when so few even of our serious students and scholars can read Latin and Greek texts with ease and familiarity. In many cases new and fresh translations have been made, and notes have been supplied where needed to explain the author's meaning, and introductions provide the necessary guidance. To have this valuable source material brought closer to hand will be greatly appreciated by those whose interest, professional and personal, leads them back to the rock from which they were hewn. Only a limited professional market may be expected for these volumes as they are published.
