What happens when a many-titled Duke decides to play hookey from his suffocating dignity is the basis of this slight tale of Regency days. Gilly, to protect a young cousin, sets out to square accounts with a blackmailer, ends up with a kidnapping, a brainless, beautiful girl, and discovers that he is more than capable of taking care of himself in tight corners, and that his family's choice of a bride is absolutely perfect, even to helping him out of his scrapes. Done to a turn, in full period decor, this will appeal to those who like the lighter of this writer's work.
