DAUGHTER OF THUNDER

Twelve-year old Doleh lives with her grand-father in the present day South-west. Big Fox, a reprehensible character, owes large sums to the White Trader, who feels he must leave the mess, to the sorrow of the Indians. Doleh and her cousin Hahdi takes matters in their own hands and find Big Fox's hidden treasure of gold in Elephant Rock. This brave act straightens out all the problems and the mesa is restored to peace. All Moon books give accurate pictures of Navajo life, showing various customs such as the Rain Dance.
