WESTWARD AMERICA: A Story of Lewis and Clark

Actual records of the Lewis and Clark expedition form the background for this fictional record of the youngest member of the party, George Shannon. Good historical adventure a fast paced narrative. Unfortunately, at times one feels that the author bags down in the marshalling of facts and names, to the utter confusion of the reader, for when the thread of story and character are lost. One of the most exciting dramas in American history, this exploration of the unknown wilderness might better be told as straight fact than camouflaged as fiction.
