It's happening here- in 19--, and the Russian invasion and occupation of New York takes place bloodlessly and peaceably- under the small force of General Ketov. The military buzzes- as does Intelligence- and it is learned that Ketov's operation has been independent of the Kremlin, and the quixotic scheme an attempt by a disillusioned Communist to arouse America from her materialistic apathy. In the days which follow, Ketov's Russians desert and surrender, Ketov vanishes, and finally reaches West Point and then Washington where he pleads successfully for a more vigorous Anti-communist program... Just a skeleton of an idea- to which Mr. Richahrds adds very little flesh so that the admonition he administers while benign is also bland.
