by Hans Christian Andersen ‧ RELEASE DATE: N/A
A fat new edition in a small 5 (apple)""x4"" size, published from the Ugly Duckling's native town in Odense, Denmark. The translation (which appears delightfully gauche now and then as in the phrase: ""they made out they were weavers"") is by R. P. Keigwin, and the text is decorated with the original drawings by Vilhelm Pedersen made from the originals in the Hans Andersen Museum in Odense. The style is lively and good fun, the format is charming, the print good for such a small book. (The Pedersen drawings, however, should have stayed in the museum.) A lovely gift item.
