An articulated construction-paper frog, a noisemaker made of rolled-up typing paper, and applesauce from windfalls: all three are easy to make with the help of Rockwell's simple (in)directions, which for some reason axe presented not as instructions to the reader but in story form, as young characters' descriptions of their own procedures. Unimposing by design, comfortable in appearance, but slight nevertheless.
