KIRKUS REVIEW

By air on a 69 day trip with stop-offs in Mexico, Central and South America, the Antilles and Cuba. Written in Mr. Franck's usual chatty style, spcied with humor. He is an experienced traveler and loses none of his zest. Gives brief resume of historical background, and something of the people and general feel of the places. But there's not the concentrated survey of his previous books. Essential for travelers.
