SF: AUTHORS' CHOICE FOUR

Fifteen authors introduce their own stories in this anthology. Among others, Aldiss provides the bittersweet fate of one of earth's inheritors; Dickson, a satisfying look at a facet of duty from his chronicle of the Dorsal mercenaries; Clarke, his well-known story of winter's triumph. And James Gum reports with glee that his conceit about women as an alien species is now attacked as sexist. Some successful stories but a bit clannish for non-initiates.
