I'M THE HAPPIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD

Held has a cynical slant on life and this story of Miss Universe, winner of successive beauty contests, is full of bitter pictures of that small world in which Della circulates, -- the contestants, their sponsors, the judges and so on. Suggests --mildly -- Wonder Hero (Priestley) in content and viewpoint, though not in the manner of telling. There is a Held market, but this does not measure up to his short stories. Chiefly for circulating library distribution.
