MYSTERY ON WHEELS

Jenifer Lawson, a mid-western teen ager, dreads a summer in which she will visit her mother's friend, a bookmobile librarian. To her it will be a summer of uninteresting details under the chaperonage of a colorless woman. But Jenifer's experiences on the book-mobile, which include a slight mystery of disappearing books, rich contact with rural readers, and a polite romance leave her filled with enthusiasm for library work and the particular librarian who has been her hostess. A thin veil of fiction adorns this book, which essentially, is an informative story directed toward career-minded high school students.
