The Russians are here and, according to this, they more or less buffaloed their way in, aided and abetted by an America gone soft on Communism. And the whole thing also came about because of a perverted folksinger who managed to get the draft laws changed and a certain hopelessly misguided Senator who, in his passion for peace, overlooked the fact that the Russkies can't be trusted. Oh, there's also an arms lobbyist who sold the country an unworkable defense system but the problem is that they're here and when White House Translator Hewlitt pops into the office in the morning, there's Mr. Zalinsky ready with the orders for the day. Fortunately Hewlitt joins up with a super secret espionage organization known as ""The First Team"" which is led by an admirable Admiral of the old school and their gamesmanship (making off with a nuclear armed submarine to use as a counter-threat) saves the day. The situation is almost as incredible as the characters including an archvillain Colonel Rostovitch who is out to out-pogrom Hitler. This is really a banal right wing scandal sheet promoting the proposition that America needs a hardening of the artilleries. Martha Mitchell will love it.
