The first edition appeared in 1957; this is considerably revised and thoroughly up-dated throughout, and includes a larger, more detailed map, a higher ratio of text to illustrations, and a country previously omitted--Indonesia. The section on Vietnam is quite current though it consists mostly of pious platitudes. Librarians who have not already done so will want to discard the old edition and replace immediately.
