BLACKADDER

A whing-ding of an historical adventure yarn which first appeared as a radio serial in England. The heroes of the piece are Tom Cathro and Harry de Rohan whose aristocratic grandfather escaped to England during the French Revolution; and nursing a vicious grudge against the de Rohan family is the fiendish smuggler king and spy, Blackadder, who operates in England. Capture by Blackadder, imprisonment, torture and final escape are the boys' lot until the death of Blackadder during the battle of Trafalgar. A good yarn, well told, with lots of bloodcurdling episodes and characters.
