MURDER LOVES COMPANY

Some moments of fun for an averagely good yarn, in the story of four crimes staged at the Golden Gate Exposition in California. There's a tie-up with the olive trees on Treasure Island, and a horticulture professor, trying to impress a newspaper woman, gets his fingers well into the pie composed of a lost ikon, a Russian princess, a wealthy yacht owner, his theatrical wife, a racetrack tout, the ex-owner of the olive trees, a Scotch police inspector, and passed-up classes. But he gets the criminal -- and he gets the girl.
