Variation on the Western theme in a yarn in which young Kurt, deprived of his feudal home, returns to fight his father's greed for sole possession of the fertile land. As government forester, he investigates boundaries, tries to protect the girl he loves from his father's wrath and almost loses out. Finally, he sees his father's reign of terror broken.
