DARK DREAM

Laura Conway has been overproducing books with skimpy stories in less time than the spin cycle of your Sears. However Dark Dream takes place in a more convincing reality. Did Carey Dacres, with her subdued magnetism, commit murder as charged? Does Ken Maynard, a painter, love her even if he is engaged to her cousin Penny? And what of Penny's accidents--like that pair of slippery slippers? All will be revealed with Penny's stepmother's dying and almost unuttered words ""before too late."" But if you're smart earlier on you may notice the copyright date, 1958, and the author's former nora de plume when she was really applying her pen.
