AS IN HANGMAN

Carl Wayward, psychiatrist sleuth, immersed in a four-corpsed case at the original Chatauqus, now a summer culture session, when its music head is the first to go. The dead man's other identity, his stepdaughter and her three men, embezzlement, a will with a time clause, a stranger with a racket, and multiple romantic alliances lead to a double murder scheme and confusion. Unnecessarily tangled, but smooth.
