PIERRE PIDGEON

Picture book format, but a slightly more mature than picture book age text. Pierre lived on the Gaspe' Peninsula, and longed above everything to own the ship in the bottle (and to know how it got there) Here in almost full page pictures in three color by Arnold Edwin Bare, is the story of how Pierre got his heart's desire -- and how an accident made him learn for himself the answer to his question. There's a very French feel to not only pictures but pattern of the story.
