LITTLE PANCHO

A ""stocking book"" in size and format. Thoroughly Mexican in feel, and might almost be taken from Mexican murals and impressions of peasant craft. The story -- a sort of Mexican Little Sambo is too patently imitative, and lacks the folk quality and the repetitive use of suspense which has given the other its classic success.
