INVITATION TO PARADISE

Cleo Anderley leaves the stacks of the Smithsonian to spend a summer on a small island near St. Tropez where there's an ornithologist Segonzac who doesn't seem to know much about birds, and Mark Lawson whose brother disappeared -- just like a Sister before that, and finally the all kinds of things that are going on under the imposing Villa Romana -- white slavery -- a traffic you haven't heard about in years. A category trifle with lots of zephyr prose to be read through rose colored binoculars -- c'est ca although the publishers expect more.
